The code

Feloni Inc — Code of Conduct & Operational Code (Legal, Community-Focused)

1. Purpose

Feloni Inc is a music collective and community organisation that supports local artists, hosts events, and raises funds for projects and community causes across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. This document defines how members join, behave, organise events, and operate — always within the law — to build trust, reputation, and real support in our neighbourhoods.

2. Core Values

 • Respect: Treat every person — artists, fans, partners, residents, and officials — with respect.

 • Integrity: Operate transparently and lawfully; reputation is our most valuable asset.

 • Solidarity: Members support each other and the local community.

 • Creativity: Encourage musical growth and artistic expression.

 • Responsibility: Prioritise safety, accountability, and legal compliance.

3. Membership & Onboarding

Joining

 • Prospective members submit a short application describing skills they bring (music, promotion, logistics, legal, trades).

 • References or a simple interview with two standing members required.

 • New members complete a two-month probationary period that includes participating in at least one official event and one community activity.

First Thing When You Join — How to “Offer Help”

 • New members must read this code and sign a Membership Pledge agreeing to lawful conduct.

 • “Offering help” means volunteering for tasks that support legal operations: event setup, promotion, artist support, fundraising, community outreach.

 • Members are expected to commit a minimum number of volunteer hours per month (e.g., 4–8 hours) or help with one event per quarter.

4. Roles & Responsibilities

 • President/Club Lead: Strategic vision, official contacts, compliance oversight.

 • Operations Coordinator: Event planning, venue booking, logistics, permits.

 • Finance Officer: Manages club accounts, invoices, receipts, and transparent reporting.

 • Community Liaison: Builds relationships with local organisations, councils, charities.

 • Security & Safety Lead: Coordinates legal crowd management, first aid, and safety plans with venues.

 • Marketing/PR: Promotion, social media, press relations.

 • Volunteer Pool: Members who sign up to help with events, transport equipment, day-of tasks.

5. Monthly Fundraising (“Earn”) — Legal & Ethical Guidelines

Replace the idea of “earn” as illegal activity with lawful fundraising models that accomplish the same community and financial goals.

Acceptable Fundraiser Types

 • Ticketed concerts, DJ nights, and album launch events.

 • Merchandise sales (shirts, stickers, patches).

 • Sponsored community events (markets, barbecues, charity shows).

 • Crowdfunding campaigns (Kickstarter/GoFundMe) for specific projects.

 • Partnerships with local businesses for revenue share or sponsorship.

How to Plan a Monthly Fundraiser (Checklist)

 1. Concept & Budget: Define goal (profit target and community benefit), expenses, needed permits.

 2. Venue & Date: Book a licensed venue; secure noise permits and capacity limits.

 3. Insurance: Obtain event liability insurance (public liability, venue requirements). Finance Officer secures quotes and pays premiums.

 4. Vendors & Logistics: Hire licensed transport or rental companies for equipment; use written contracts.

 5. Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with local laws (liquor licensing, noise, waste).

 6. Promotion & Sales: Create tickets via reputable ticketing service; keep transparent accounting.

 7. Post-Event Accounting: Record income/expenses and publish a short report to members.

Insurance & Partnerships (Legal)

 • If transport or third-party services are needed, use licensed companies and proper contracts.

 • Contact insurers openly: request quotes for event or transit insurance; list legitimate business purpose.

 • Do not attempt to misrepresent events to insurers or use contacts to subvert policy terms. Fraudulent activity is criminal and permanently damages the group and individuals.

6. Partnerships & Networking (How Members Help)

Real value comes from legal relationships:

 • Local businesses (cafés, record stores, rehearsal spaces) — exchange promotion for space or sponsorships.

 • Licensed transport companies — hire for moving gear; keep contracts and receipts.

 • Insurance brokers — get proper event and equipment insurance.

 • Venue owners & councils — build goodwill and compliance.

 • Charities/community groups — collaborate on benefit shows; helps reputation and access to grants.

Members who “know someone” in a business should use that connection to propose legitimate partnerships, sponsorships, or discounts — not to carry out illegal acts.

7. Safety, Legal Compliance & Reporting

 • Feloni Inc will not tolerate illegal activity. Any member involved in illegal acts will be suspended and reported if necessary.

 • All events must have a safety plan: first aid, emergency exits, crowd control, and contact with local police if required for public safety.

 • Finance Officer produces monthly statements and an annual public summary of funds raised and spent.

 • Whistleblower policy: Confidential reporting channel for concerns; protection against retaliation.

8. Confidentiality & Reputation

 • Members may share limited internal planning info needed for tasks, but sensitive documents (bank details, contracts) are restricted.

 • Respect the privacy of victims/survivors and do not glorify illegal acts in promotions.

9. Disciplinary Procedures

 • Minor breach → Written warning and remedial action (training, community service).

 • Major breach (criminal activity, fraud) → Immediate suspension pending review; report to authorities if warranted; membership termination.

10. Community Engagement & Positive Impact

Feloni Inc should aim to:

 • Host events that bring people together, create safe spaces for music, and promote local talent.

 • Partner with schools and community centres to provide free workshops.

 • Support local charities via benefit gigs.

 • Offer apprenticeships and hands-on experience for young people interested in production, promotion, and music business skills.

11. Templates & Practical Tools (Examples)

 ◦ Short blurb (for About box / header)

About — Feloni Inc

Feloni Inc began as a name and idea tied to music, community and loyalty. The name was later appropriated by a WCC jail crew — which does not reflect the values, goals or legal approach of the Feloni Inc music collective. Our focus is building lawful opportunities for Gold Coast & Brisbane artists, not gang activity or criminal behaviour.

Longer origin / history (for About page)

Feloni Inc started as a creative project and label for local artists — a name born from grit, storytelling and a desire to build something real. Over time, that name was taken up by a WCC jail crew in other circles, and that association created confusion. We want to be clear: Feloni Inc the collective is a lawful music and community organisation. We reject violence, criminality and anything that harms our neighbourhoods. Our mission is to support artists, host events, create legal income streams, and put community first.

Public clarification / social post (short)

Heads up: the name Feloni Inc has been used by others in contexts we don’t support. To be clear — we are a music collective and community organisation on the Gold Coast / Brisbane. We do not endorse or participate in criminal activity. If you’ve heard otherwise, this is the official clarification.

FAQ entry

Q: I heard Feloni Inc is linked to a jail crew. Is that true?

A: The name was once appropriated by a WCC jail crew in other circles, which caused confusion. Feloni Inc (this organisation) is not affiliated with any criminal groups. We operate legally — events, fundraising, workshops, and artist support. Anyone found to be involved in criminal activity will be removed and reported. Our priority is community safety and lawful opportunities for artists.

Press / partner statement (one-paragraph)

To our partners, venues and community members: recent confusion has arisen because the name “Feloni Inc” was used by a WCC jail crew unrelated to our organisation. We want to make it explicit that Feloni Inc is a lawful music collective focused on supporting local artists, running community events, and forming positive partnerships across Gold Coast and Brisbane. We categorically reject criminal activity and remain committed to safe, legal, and professional conduct in all our operations.

Optional: short membership pledge clause you can add to onboarding

✓ “I acknowledge that Feloni Inc is a lawful, community-focused music collective. I will not represent the organisation in any criminal activity, nor associate Feloni Inc with gangs or unlawful groups. I understand that misuse of the Feloni Inc name harms our community and my membership can be revoked.”
